Has anyone heard any buzz about this show opening on Broadway in February, other than it's directed by Julie Taymor and has music by Bono and The Edge?

We'll be in NYC the weekend it opens and I'm trying to decide whether to get tickets.

Since the show hasn't even gone into rehearsals yet, what kind of buzz do you expect? I'm not ever sure if they've cast the title character yet! I do know that Alan Cumming will be one of the stars.

There seems to be a lot of turmoil surrounding the show. Last I heard, they had halted production due to lack of funding, though the producers claim that it will still have its first preview February 25.

When it opens, it should be amazing. The production costs $45 million and counting, not including a $10 million re-design of the theatre.

If you get tickets and they cancel the performance, you'll get a refund. As you might know, it's still the pre-sale, so you'd have to pay with an Amex.

Quoting from an article in tomorrow's NY Times: "....production work on the show was suspending this month because of cash-flow problems which producers are still trying to solve, and the possibility looms that the musical may be delayed or ultimately canceled."

Also, there was an article in yesterday's WSJ stating that some think the Hilton theater is cursed!

Since this doesn't sound too promising I think I'd better pass on Spiderman tickets.
