San Diego again
Anyone stayed at San Diego Sheraton? does it have a beach? How big are rooms? and bathrooms? Couldn't really get any of that information from reservations so I thought I would try here. I note that it is a 4 diamond property

No beach, not close to a beach. It's across the road from the airport, but you will not hear any airport noise. I haven't stayed in it for several years so I can't comment on the current condition of the rooms.

Is there really just the one Sheraton here? If it's the one on Harbor Island - right across from the bay...nice view but I wouldn't recommend swimming in it. Maybe 15-20 minute drive to closest beach (Mission), although people do lay out on the grass along the bay. I'm sure it has a pool as well. Sorry, haven't been inside in about 15 years.

I'm not sure about outside, but the planes do not fly over the hotel. The runway, which is quite some way away, runs parallel to Harbor Island where the hotel is situated. I'm fairly confident that you won't hear noise, because we sat for hours on Harbor Island to watch the Superbowl fireworks and didn't hear any planes

Stayed there four years ago for a night.
No airport noise that I can recall- whether indoors or outside.
In general: It's a Sheraton, so you basically know what you get. However, nothing too spectacular abaout it. I had a good rate, so I ended up staying there for the night, whereas I would usually have preferred to stay somewhere in La Jolla or Del Mar. You will need a car, and what annoyed me was that there were no in- and out privileges on the car- park.
The room I had was somwhat dark as it was facing a wall, but clean and respectable. Basically it was alright at the rate I was paying- but I would not have been too satisfied, had it been higher.
I would consider four diamonds slightly over the top- but then they probably have made some renovations and improvements.
