San Antonio Restaurants

We ate at Boudro's on the Riverwalk. Excellent. (Check out their website) The Blackened Prime Rib was great. The service was great. Had a seat outdoors, right near the water. It was chilly and they had blanket "capes" to put on if you got cold.
Breakfast - Mi Tierra. Not really near the river. Would probably need a car, but you could walk. Maybe 1 1/2 miles from the Riverwalk.
There is a website that has various SA restaurants rated. I don't remember it off hand, but do a google search under "San Antonio Restaurants".

Mi Tierra is not awful, but far from great. For really good breakfast tacos try Aldaco's near Sunset Station; for good Mexican food it's La Fonda on Main (NOT the other two places also called La Fonda - only the one on Main, just north of downtown), or La Paloma Blanca on Broadway. If you want Mexico city style tacos, try Guajillo's (Gwa-hee-lows)on Loop 410 at Blanco. For Tex-Mex, try Los Barrios (be prepared to wait, it is popular) or La Fogata - neither is downtown but both are worth the short drive. Right on the River, the Old Original Mexican Restaurant is good. There's a place on the river called Casa Rio that should be avoided at all costs - the epitome of tourist trap!
