Great San Antonio Restaurants

Looking for recommendations for restaurants with Mexican food with excellent margaritas. Is the barbeque good in San Antonio? thanks!

We ate at a barbeque place called Bill Miller's. There are a number of them around town. The food was good and a good value.

For excellent Mexican food, try Paloma Blanca on Broadway, or La Fonda on Main (but only that one - there are others called La Fonda but they pale in comparison). If you want Tex-Mex, there are places all over town - Los Barrios is good, and on the river most are OK, with the exception of Casa Rio, which is a true tourist trap.

Just returned from our long weekend. Thanks for the recommendations - we ate at La Fonda on Main and Rosarios. Both were excellent!

Bill Miller YUCK!!! Rudy's is MUCH better, and so is County Line.

Tomatillo's on Broadway is my favorite Mexican place. It is off the riverwalk.

Glad you enjoyed some of our favorite places, dona. Did you get to try the chocolate flan at Rosario's?
Christie - believe it or not, some people really like Bill Miller's! Can't say it's my favorite place, but have heard others who just love it. Then again, I have even heard people (OK, not very many) say they like Casa Rio!
