San Antonio hotel help -- should we stay on the riverwalk or by Six Flags/Seaworld?
Hi -- also, are there any suite hotels with indoor pools in either of those areas? I'm thinking already about going to SA next March (spring break). Will the weather be dependably good enough for outdoor swimming or should we look for an indoor pool for the kids?
We want to visit both Six Flags/Seaworld (if they are open when we are there) and the riverwalk attractions, and we'll stay about four nights or so. Thanks.

My favorite family hotel is the Hyatt Hill Country out near Seaworld. They have traditional 2 dbl bed rooms, which makes it tight if you are used to more space/bigger beds.
There is also the Hyatt vacation club property, with beautiful 1 & 2br suites with full kitchen. They have both indoor and outdoor pools. If they could have the rooms at H. vacation club and the pools/property of the Hyatt Hill country that would be tops in my book.
Both hotels should be heating their pools for spring break in March - they have them heated in Nov for Thanksgiving.
With kids I much prefer to be at a vacation resort - the Riverwalk is lots of fun, but you can also enjoy that area with a quick drive into town. When it's just adults, I like to stay right on the Riverwalk - lots of good hotels.

No, it will not be warm enough in San Antonio for outdoor swimming in March. Check online before you go, but you'll likely want to wear jeans and possibly a jacket, too!
I agree: stay by the Riverwalk and drive to Six Flags/Sea World!
