Has anyone stayed here recently ? I have found limited info on the Latin board and lots of it is very old.

We are considering this hotel the first or second week in June.

Trip advisor has some reviews from the last quarter of '07. Go to their website, enter Royal Solaris in the search engine, and scroll through the reviews. They aren't in chronological order.

I will answer my own original question; just in case someone else out there considers the Royal Solaris in San Jose Del Cabo.

I would not recommend this hotel.

If you are young and want a party scene, this may be your place, but then again it is aprox 30-40 min from any other night scene, as the Royal Solaris may get old quickly.

If you are looking for a family atmosphere just a little too much alcohol and partying (imo).

There is so much more to do in Cabo vs. San Jose Del Cabo. The taxi's are not cheap, we found the bus system an alternate to the taxi service.

Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable, food was so-so; also the time share people are a nuisance.

Make sure and post this on the Latin America branch under Mexico so people can find it there, too.
