Romantic San Diego Trip

I'm taking my girlfriend to San Diego in two weeks, and I want to make it a very romantic trip. Neither of us have been to San Diego before. We are staying downtown and I am planning to visit coronado and La Jolla for dinner over the three days we will be staying. I'm looking for advice on the best romantic restaurants and/or places to visit. I've read about many nice restaurants in Coronado and La Jolla, but I wanted to make sure I'd be getting my money's worth. Also, we are in our mid-20s, and I was looking for some fun, casual (but not too wild) nightlife or activities. Any advice would be helpful.

We recently had lunch in La Jolla at Azul. It overlooks the ocean and the food was wonderful. If you go, make sure to make a reservation. It's on Prospect St. Have a great time.

Staying downtown?? You should stay in La Jolla. Stay at the La Valencia if you want romantic. Dinner at The Top of the Cove in La Jolla would be great. Reserve a window table. Great views!

If you are downtown, definitely check out the Gaslamp Quarter for some fun nightlife.

I'm sure you will love downtown. There are a ton of nice restaurants and bars on 5th ave downtown. Also Sally's looks real nice(Hyatt Hotel Near Seaport Village). La Jolla For a romantic restaurant The Marine Room or Georges At The Cove.

want to go for something different, go to a supermarket and pack a picnic. bring a long a blanket and go down to sunset cliffs. watch the sunset, the waves crashing on the rocks and enjoy your dinner. it's in the ocean beach area - park on santa cruz and walk towards the ocean.
