I think Jerry has something here. It seems to me he's right on target! Middle tier is right. Just because he made a statement is no cause to ramp & rave on him. Remember, posters have the right to post there expierence on this board. Just because it differs from yours dosn't give you the right to jump in his case.

Opinions are welcomed but Jerry is so far off the mark it makes me wonder if we are all talking about the same places.

I think Jerry has mistaken The Marquesa for something else. I don't know about the Heron House but I have always seen great reviews for it. Here is the website for The Marquesa in Key West just to make sure we are all on the same page.

When was Little Palm Island "rediscovered" because I have always known it as one of the best places to stay in The Florida Keys. It seems like whenever an article is written about the Keys Little Palm Island is always mentioned.

Looks like everyone is reading too much into Jerry's post. If you consider LPI upper tier, then Marquesa and Heron would be middle tier.

I had a bad experience at Heron, too. Staff, particularly the manager, had to have been trained in bad manners to be this rude to a guest (not me, but the guy in front of me at the desk). He later scolded my wife for "purposely bending a key". That happened the first night, and he was cold to her all week

He never said Little Palm Island was upper tier. He complained about it. I don't think this guy "Jerry" knows what good taste is.

"Jerry" frequents this board and uses all sorts of aliases. He's the one responsible for lots of the nasty posts on keys threads getting deleted. He says pretty much the same thing every time and has a huge chip on his shoulder when it comes to hotels or resorts he can't personally afford.

I guess some people are never happy.
Marquesa is wonderful! We were treated like first class. It lacks nothing. Wait till you see the size of the bathrooms. I understand Heron House is the same way.

Sounds like several of you previous posters have been to the Keys.
Question: Have any of you purchased or know the reputation of KINO-- a store for sandals?
Are they worth it?
Do they immediately fall apart?
I know they have a website but I plan on visting the store next month in Key West. Thank you for any info!!

Again, how do you know who Jerry is? Do you have a little globe you look inside to see who the poster is? The post looks legit to me. The guy is just giving an opinion. Lighten up.

Kino sandles last forever and at $7 a pair, they are a bargain. My cousin lives in Key West and gets them for family all the time. Go to the store, they have a ton of different styles. The ones you can order off line are different and come out of Tampa or something.
