Riding fab horses in NYC?

I would so love to ride in NYC does anybody know if there is a place that provides quality and sweet mounts? I have my horse way out in the country of NY and I have no reason to ship him way into NYC unless they start putting American Saddlebreds back in the National Horse show (Oh how I wish) but I still long to ride in the city. Any help would be appreciated. **kiss**

Muffin -

You may certainly ride very sweet and qaulity horses in NYC. You can even ship your horse there and board him at the Claremont stables.

There are extensive bridle trails in Central Park - and hte horses are well-trained to walk in traffic to and from the park.

Your other choice is to make VERY NICE with a cute mounted policeman in the park - and perhaps he'll take you up behind.

The Claremont Stables, in the 80s on the Upper West Side, have a good reputation and are handy to the trails in Central Park.

Ahhh Yes Claremont Riding Stable how delightful. I do love to view mounted policemen but I truly don't care to ride double but thanks for the idea. I shall call and ask if they have any American Saddlebreds I could ride and I will start planning my outfit. I have a huge assortment of pracice jods that will look adorable.

What happened to your leather pants? The ones that were making noise..perhaps they would be better as riding pants..they still might squeak though..in the saddle, the leather to leather thing.
