Restaurants/Bars in Cleveland

Will be staying in Tower Center for 2 nights starting tomorrow on a business trip. Any good bars/restaurants that are easy to walk to and have good food, drink and music?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if it's within walking distance to Tower City, but the Great Lakes Brewery has GREAT beer and is in a neat building. I understand the food is pretty good too, but haven't had any myself. If i remember correctly, there was a nice wine bar just down the street from GLB. Lots of wine by the glass.

You can easily walk to 'The Warehouse District', home to many upscale, fun clubs and bars. Also check out The Blue Pointe Grille for EXCELLENT food, a bit pricey but worth it.

Great Lakes Brewery isn't within walking distance, but has good, 'comfort' style food.

Cleveland is a great town, you'll have fun! Be sure to walk along Lake Erie around The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Science Center. Its really pretty.

Great Lakes Brewing Company is in Ohio City and one of the only smoke free bars in the Cleveland area. Good beer and food. I believe the wine bar is the Market Avenue Wine Bar. Ohio City is just across the bridge from downtown Cleveland and a fun place to browse there is the Westside Market for fresh bakery, meats, cheese and other speciality items. Downtown dining could be Mallorca, Johnny's, Mortons, The Watermark (in the flats). For cheap but great sandwiches & soup try Panera Bread at Tower City or Panini's which also has pizza. I don't know what age you are, but the Blind Pig and Velvet Dog are fun clubs in the Warehouse District. Try www.cleveland.com for more info on Cleveland. Enjoy your trip.

Wendy,

The metropolitan is good, but have heard they are having service problems as of late. I really like Vivo in the arcade (just across and one block up from tower city center). For other recs. on restaurants go to cleveland.com - search the food forum.

Blue Point is excellent! Also loved Johnny's. Good Greek restaurant on the same corner - can't remember the name.

The name of the Greek restaurant you're thinking about is Greek Isles. About 2 blocks south is a fantastic Porteguese/Spanish restuarant called Mallorca. Cleveland Chop House, also in the same vacinity is also worth considering. All are within walking distance of TC.
