Restaurant for large group in Philadelphia suburb

Having a celebration for my husband who just got promoted. Looking for a restaurant in the PA suburbs of Philadelphia with separate area or room for ~30 - 40 adults. Want good food, casual ambience, open bar available. Relatives live in berwyn, wayne, dublin, newtown, havertown, kennett sq, doylestown. We're flying into phl. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any help you can give.

I would recommend Simon Pearce - VERY good food. Would be near your Kennett Square crowd.

Your crowd is pretty spread out. Look into Maggiano's in King of Prussia. That location is pretty much centrally located for your relatives. They have private rooms upstairs.

You also might want to check out Bahama Breeze in King of Prussia.

Thanks SavTrav and schmerl....both places sounded great. Both were booked for the date I needed. (I've actually eaten at Maggiano's and LOVED it!!) The mgr at Simon Pearce suggested Collegeville Inn or the Desmond Hotel. I wish I could find a nice friendly Irish Pub with music that could accommodate us!

Check out the Iron Hill Brewery - they have a few locations that might work for you - I know the West Chester restaurant has a separate function room.
