We went to the Gaylord (in Grapevine) over Memorial Day weekend.
I don't think we'll return...it just wasn't for us. I wouldn't consider it upscale or relaxing.
I don't know much about it, but there is a Doral near Ft. Worth.
Rough Creek and Four Seasons - definately upscale and relaxing.

Rough Creek Lodge is a great place. Incredible food and the setting is very interesting. You can go check out the very quiet town of Glen Rose or check out the far more "exciting" town of Granbury.
I've never been to the Gaylord. But does a weekend in Grapevine really sound like fun?
