Red Sox Tickets

Just a heads up for anyone that might be traveling to Boston during baseball season, the Red Sox put most of their tickets on sale this past weekend.

If you happen to be visiting Mid-Week you might be able to find a couple tickets...standing room for $20.00 are available for many of the mid week games too, if you have a larger group.

No Yankees games are available, and the weekend games only have scattered single seats for now....but if you're interested in seeeing a game, you might get lucky....

Don't get your hopes up, though. I spent all day Saturday in the "virtual waiting room" on 2 computers trying to get from 2-4 tickets for any game, any opponent without success (except standing room). When I rechecked every game Sunday early AM the only thing available was a few standing room tickets and scattered obstructed view tickets.

The best way to see the Red Sox is Toronto... Plenty of tickets and a great city to visit... Go SOX

Gail...that;'s why most Red Sox fans head out of state to other ball parks for better and cheaper seats.. It's a darn shame...A few years ago we were given two seats near Pesky Pole and they were awful...better to see it on a screen at home.. Red Sox tickets are harder to get then"hen's teeth" bought up by scalpers and heavy expense account companies that give them out to clients. Forget about getting a Red Sox Yankee game...at scalper prices they are way out of my price range

Saw the Red Sox last season at Atlanta with a Marriott Airport ticket/room package. Took MARTA to downtown and caught the stadium shuttle. Great time!!

Agree with above comments - traveling to a few away games van be cheaper than buying home tickets from a scalper - even including travel costs. We went to Camden Yards (Baltimore) and got great seats for little money and got to see Baltimore as well.

It's unfortunate because I just moved to Boston from Philadelphia, and I'd like to see a game at Fenway, just for the experience. I've seen the Sox play in Philadelphia but that's not really the point. I enjoy seeing baseball games in different fields and due to all the scalpers, I may have a hard time getting to Fenway for one.

Not that I have any love for scalpers but the reality is that the Red Sox are one of the most popular professional sports teams in the US and they play in one of the smallest forums. That equals high prices and limited availability.

My recommendation is to try using Red Sox Replay - you buy tickets directly from season ticket holders - safe and fairly priced. Also try calling the box office directly after the hoopla has died down. Last year I did this and scored 4 Red Sox Yankee tickets and 4 tickets during April vacation.

If possible, use the phone line instead of online for now....tickets being dropped daily....including weekends.

(617) 482-4SOX

check often, even daily as the inventory is constantly coming up....
