Recommendation: North Shore Oahu 4 bedroom house

Just got back from 10 lovely days on Oahu and would like to post a bit about the house we stayed in for anyone who might be interested.
http://www.vrbo.com/259031
We paid $350 a night low season, I think it goes up to $450 during high season. There were seven of us and I believe they allow up to 10 people.
It's situated on a hill about a mile from the beach and has a gorgeous view of the surrounding land and ocean. It's quiet except for the occasional cow moo and once in a while a peacock wanders around and might call out. Big grassy lawn and nice landscaping. We helped ourselves multiple times to the meyer lemon tree and we were told the other lemon tree is a madagascar but we never got around to that one. There is a macadamia tree out by the pool and I collected the few nuts that fell everyday. Such a nice treat to try fresh nuts instead of the typical dry packaged ones we've always eaten. They also have rosemary and basil which came in handy.
The house has four bedrooms, 3 baths, a nice kitchen and spacious living areas. Ceiling fans in all the rooms.
A nice pool and several lounge chairs. Removable child-proof fence.
There is a gas bbq that didn't work so great; I forgot to let the owners know about that and I think I will send them an email to let them know but they also have a charcoal bbq. There's a tennis court if anyone has that kind of energy or interest.
There is a beach directly across the street from the main gate and others up and down the road.
The closest town is Haleiwa which is a surfers paradise with the famous Sunset Beach and Pipeline. Several restaurants, a couple of markets and farmers markets, good coffee at the Coffee Gallery, and plenty of shopping. Costco is midway (20 minutes) from the Honolulu airport (an approximate 45 minute drive).
The road gets a bit rough near the house and needs to be graded. We had an SUV and were glad that we did, though a regular car could certainly navigate the road as well.
We met the owners and they are very nice and have lots of information and recommendations for the area.

I'm not sure I could ever convince my husband to stay a mile from the beach, but if I could....(one can dream -- this place looks fantastic!!)

Sounds lovely. My husband and I are looking for a smaller (less expensive) version of this for our trip in January. Where did you rent your vehicle from? Thank you for posting!

I thought I would post a photo to show how far it is to the beach.
We enjoyed many hours hanging out on the deck, lovely for meal times, coffee.

And this is a less-than-perfect video. I was trying to capture the birdsongs but it's very faint. You can hear a neighing horse, too.
