Recommend a wonderful Hilton Resort?

Hi-
My hubby has Hilton points we can use to stay at any Hilton, and looking for suggestions in US, Canada, or Caribbean.
Any Hilton Resorts that are wonderful, and we don't know about?
Thanks!
Linda

The Caribe Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico is very nice. So are the two Hilton's in Pheonix, Arizona.

The Jalousie Hilton in St. Lucia is by far the best! I have not been able to find one comparable in the area's you spoke of. Each "room" is it's own villa with private plunge pool. Very quiet and relaxing. The resort is approximately 325 acres and from the water looking at the resort you only will see a few buildings. It is not a highrise. However, if you are looking for a hopping nite life this is not the place. We loved it!

I like the Tapatio Hilton in Phoenix. Went a few weeks ago for our 3rd time. Has an adults only pool with swim up bar and all suites. Very nice and fun. Depends where you are coming from and so forth but I might like the one in St. Lucia much better if I ever get there!!

I can't say I've ever been to a Hilton in the US I'd describe as 'wonderful' (including the several Hilton in Phoenix, which are either big convention hotels (South Mountain) or just a little too old for my tastes (Tapatio, Squaw).
The Jalousie and the Hilton Maldives are probably the best Hiltons I've had recomended to me, as far as favorable reports etc.

The Hiltons in Hawaii are a great use of Hilton points. Kids that age would love the Hilton Waikoloa. I took my kid there when they were 10 and 13, and they loved it. My kids are now 12 and 15, and they loved the the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. Waikiki is certainly not for everyone, but kids love all the action, the surfing, the availability of whatever you want to do, whenever!

From what I understand, most kids would get bored at the St Lucia Hilton, as it is quite remote. More a honeymoon type destination.

The Caribe in Puerto Rico may be a option, and there is also an Embassy Suites in Dorado Puerto Rico which you can use your points on.

My kids also loved the Squaw Peak, as it has a mini water park, but they were a little younger.

The resort on Hilton Head is not luxurious, but it is a fun family vacation as well, with little mini suites, and plenty of activity to keep kids busy.

Other suggestions are the Fess Parker Doubletree in Santa Barbara, and the Embassy Suites in Lake Tahoe.

Have fun!

We took our twin 16 year old daughters with us to St. Lucia. They were not bored at all. We did many trips. We did an all day ATV tour that was a blast! They took us through mud and the kids were able to spin mud on each other (which they loved). We rented a car for one day and drove around the island, a helicopter tour another day, water taxi to the capital another day, visited the botanical gardens and drive in volcano another day and hiked. We would usually be back to the hotel about 2 or 3 in the afternoon and then spend the rest of the day snorkeling at the Jalousie beach, then dinner. After dinner they would rent a video, play tennis or the lifesize chess set or snorkel again. Granted, it's not an amusement park but IMO there is certainly plenty to do.
The Jalousie is be far one of the top Hilton's.
Have fun in whatever you choose!

The Hilton is my fave hotel on Hilton Head. Cool "lagoons" intermingled with the pools in the courtyard between wings of the hotel. Lots for kids.

milkeway4-

I'm glad to hear your daughters had fun in St Lucia--perhaps its a good 'teen' family destination. I have wanted to go there on Hilton points, but have hesitated. Perhaps in a year or two, when my kids are both teens we will try it!
