Recent Hotel experiences at Dauphine Orleans Hotel
Hi,
I am looking for experiences people have had in the past year or so at the Dauphine Orleans Hotel. I have read mostly good reviews on this board and some others but occasionally find bad ones and the bad ones seem to be more recent. Also any recent experiences with Mason Dupuy or Hotel Provincial(spelling?) Would be greatly appreciated. I will be going there in June with my boyfriend and we are looking for something nice, not to expensive and hopefully a pool to cool off in from the heat.
Thanks!

We also have reservations at the Dauphine Orleans Hotel for June. I am also concerned about our choice. It seems the quality of their rooms vary greatly. I found some pretty negative comments on tripadvisor.com. I just really want to stay at a clean hotel about a block off of Bourban Street.

I hadn't stayed there in years, but recommended it to my mother who was visiting with several girlfriends. They loved it. It was clean, close to the Quarter, but removed and quiet. Enjoyed the breakfast and snack and especially the shuttle service. They stayed in the hotel. Years ago, I stayed across the street in one of the rooms off the courtyard and absolutely loved it. I've been to NO on business, but the next time I return for leisure, I'm going back to the Dauphine Orleans. There are a lot of gross places in and around the Quarter. The DO is great for the price.

After reading some negatives on tripadvisor.com I decided to check into other hotels again. I now have reservations at the Prince Conti in June and much cheaper than the Dauphine. There will never be a perfect hotel, but I could not find anything bad about the Prince Conti. I hope I made right decision.

I stayed at the Dauphine Orleans about a year ago and had no problems. Our room was clean and the free breakfast in the sunroom was very enjoyable. The location was also wonderful and we never had to take our car out of the valet parking. Enjoy your trip.
