Reasonalby priced Hiton Head restaurants
We will be in HH for the first time at the end of August. I've searched the messages about restaurants but really don't have a good idea of pricing. We will have our 9 and 11 year olds with us---9 year old lives on naked spaghetti and plain cheeseburgers but 11 year will eat anything.
I keep reading that HH is upscale---is it going to be possible to find good food for under $15 a plate? If so, where?
Thanks!

Try Guiseppes in the shopping center by the entance for Palmetto Dunes. Pizza/Italian-good place to take the kids. Also, in SeaPInes at the Salty Dog Cafe, they have great burgers, grilled fish, pizza , etc that you can order and get yourself and sit on the tables by the docks. They have entertainement, etc. You don't need to go into the Salty Dog Cafe and eat. You and hubby can sit and enjoy a cocktail, listen to the singer, while the kids can sort of roam and get ice cream etc.

Julie,
There are plenty of restaurants that cater to families on Hilton Head. Many have early bird specials with full meals for you and spouse and kid meal deals for your kids. There are some 200 or so restaurants on the island. You'll have no problem once you get here.
Almost every store has racks of "What To Do" and "Hilton Head Guide" booklets by their front door. Also, and more importantly, there is a Restaurant Guide, about the size of Time magazine, and 4 times as thick, with menus and prices for almost every restaurant on the island (and just off on the mainland, too.
You'll find lots of places for under $15 a plate, and not McDonalds or Hardees, either.
Lived here 10 years and never heard of Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger. Hope Beachbum can tell us where it is.
