Reasonably priced hotel in NYC's financial district?

Husband needs a hotel for tonight in the financial district. Would like it to be clean and reasonably priced.

Ideas?

TIA!

When and what is your idea of reasonably priced?

This time of year reasonable is $300 for a moderate hotel.

Thanks for asking. Let me rephrase - a cheap hotel - preferably under $250 for tonight!

Thanks!

Call the Club Quarters and the Exchange Hotel.

The Best Western at South Street Seaport is pretty cool.

There's a Comfort Inn in Brooklyn that was advertising rooms under $200 recently. Doubt youll find anything in the financial district on a Monday night for less than $250
By the way, a heads up that the Pres of Iran is supposedly staying downtown (Ritz?) so there's extra traffic, and probably fewer rooms available in the area

The UN General Assembly is also in session, so that ties up a lot of rooms in the city.

You could give priceline a shot and bid on Downtown/SoHo.

Good luck!

I'd suggest the Millenium which is across from Ground Zero. They were running a special of $199nt on the Century21 Department Store website.

lisabees, if you're still looking for tonight, you need to go to kayak.com or sidestep.com put in today's date, sort by price and THEN start asking about a hotel's reputation. People may give suggestions of good places, but chances are pretty good that the hotel will have no vacancy on such short notice, given the UN general assembly visitors and/or the prices will be much higher because it's a weeknight and last minute. Why not see what's actually available in your price range, and then check in with us again? And I wouldn't limit it to Financial district at this point...
