Question about The Mercer Hotel

I am looking at a reservation at The Mercer but am a bit worried about road noise. Does anyone have any experience of staying here - if so I would be interested in the relative merits of a room overlooking Prince Street or one on Mercer Street from a traffic and noise perspective.

Alternatively should I just go for one overlooking the courtyard?

Thanks

I've never stayed at the Mercer Hotel but I live nearby. Prince Street is much busier than Mercer-traffic as well as pedestrians. In general, I'm not too bothered by street noise because I have decent quality windows and they block most of the sound. I'd imagine the Mercer has soundproofed their rooms quite well (excluding vehicles with sirens).

|I've stayed there in an inside room facing the courtyard and had no problem with noise.

May I respectfully suggest that the CITY in question be included in this and other enquiries. I thought this must relate to Savannah (the Mercer house?). Nothing I have read seems to indicate which city.

Thank you
