Trying to decide on booking the Aminta or Tramontano hotel in Sorrento. Have read posted reviews. The manager at the Aminta seems so accomodating, and reviews seem to suggest Tramontano has lots of tour groups? Any personal opinions fellow fodorites?
I'm really going out on a limb on this one, but I think this hotel has two buildings. The main building is considered the desireable one to be in, and the other building consists only of rooms. Plus, I think you have to walk a bit from the less desireable building through a walkway, which isn't lighted properly.
Also, the main building room rates may be more expensive.
If this is true, then that's the reason we didn't stay at this hotel in 2000. Maybe things have changed since then.

Thanks, I am kane...I think you are right about the two buildings. I read that on another thread. We are currently booked in the main bldg, but just want to make sure I am making the right choice. Thanks for your reply!
