Congratulations Dan!! I love Eleven Madison, what a great idea,I think it's one of the most beautiful places in New York.

Flower tip for the future: there is an amazing website bbrooks.com or Fine Flowers by Phone (same site) that will place an order for you with one of the best independent florists anyplae in the country--whatever you order is amazingly beautiful.

Congratulations Dan. Just for future reference, I've had great success ordering flowers for remote locations prior to my arrival or after a trip by simply using www.switchboard.com and checking for a florist using the address/distance search. I just foind one within a mile or two of the hotel or the delivery location and call them direct. It's cheaper than using the Internet services and zi've gotten great compliments on all the flowers I've sent this way. I just specify the parameters (for me that means no carnations in the mix and they can use their good judgement for the rest). Just returned from a trip to New Orleans and my lady friend was delighted to find a gorgeous arrangement awaitign her in the room when we arrived on Valentine's Day. By the way... not sure of this is true in Canada but in the USA you're sure to pay through the nose and in some cases get so-so quality on roses if you order them sight unseen for Valentine's Day. I always give something other than roses for that day and it always gfoes over well. Just a thought... and thanks for posting the results of your trip!

Hello again,

It's been a year now. We're getting married this summer on the west-coast. We just took a trip out to Boston for Valentines Day, but I have to admit that NYC is still the place to be.
