Priceline hotel at JFK with shuttle?

I am thinking of trying Priceline to book a hotel at JFK. I need a hotel shuttle. Do all 3 star hotels offer this free shuttle??

I'm not familiar with the list of priceline 3* JFK hotels. You could check a site like www.betterbidding.com to see what hotels come up as 3*, then check each hotel directly.

That's a good strategy, but if even one of those hotels doesn't have a shuttle, you will be taking your chances using Priceline, because that could be the hotel you get.

These are the JFK hotels betterbidding lists

New York City Airports (JFK)
3* Courtyard by Marriott
3* Crowne Plaza
3* Doubletree Radisson
3* Hilton Garden Inn
3* Sheraton
2.5* Doubletree Club (now 2* Fairfield Inn not yet reported)
2.5* Ramada Plaza Hotel
2* Best Western
2* Clarion
2* Days Inn Airport
2* Holiday Inn JFK
2* Holiday Inn Express

Check reviews on all of them before bidding. In general the JFK hotels are pretty poor. I know the Hampton Inn & the Courtyard are not bad.

Don't forget that these kinds of lists, betterbidding or biddingfortravel are not exhaustive. Hotels that are not on the list may come up. I would think that any hotel that doesn't have a free shuttle would be much less desirable for anyone booking conventionally so may in fact be more likely to show up on Priceline. Of course that's just a guess, but it just shows that if you want or need a specific feature, don't be upset or feel cheated if you get a hotel that isn't what you expected

You also need to determine when you need the shuttle - those at some hotels are available limited hours (not very early morning or late at night).

Priceline is rarely a good idea when you "must have" a specific amenity (shuttle, pool, laundry, etc.), since it's the "luck of the draw". Sure, you can narrow it down, but that doesn't mean that's what you'll get.

If you want a particular amenity, better check out Hotwire. You'll pay a few dollars more but amenities are guaranteed. Or check out the Priceline hotel lists on www.hoteldealsrevealed.com for available hotels and then see if the hotel has a shuttle. Problem with priceline is that you just never know what hotel you might end up with.

Whenever I travel with my kids, i avoid Priceline for that very reason... A swimming pool is a must and Priceline can't guarantee that no matter how much you research.
