Looking for a good seafood restaurant in portland Maine. Going in october. Probably should be a place where we can eat inside. Not just a seafood shack.

thanks

J'S Oyster Bar,right on the wharf just after the parking lot for DiMillo's.
Fresh sea food, fantastic oysters and steamers by the bucket.Plenty of local color.

We ended up eating at DeMillo's, which while it may be a tourist trap, Has reasonably good food and free parking.

Please don't tell anyone that you went to Maine and ate at DeMillo's... Portland has a wonderful range of great restaurants at all prices, most in the Old Port area and easy to get to. I'm so sorry you end up at DeMillo's.

Not all the locals hate DeMillo's. I ate there with a large group at a post-wedding lunch in August. Some locals from Portland took us there.

Actually DiMillo's is not bad. The seafood is always fresh. There are so many good restaurants though that the entire area where DiMillo's is is full of good seafood restaurants.
They almost all get their seafood fresh daily too.

Hi, Joanel. Stopping at DiMillo's (from Bass Harbor, Maine) is a family tradition. Consistently good food, great view, great service, easy access, off street parking. We stop on our way through to or from Boston. Happy to hear that you enjoyed your lunch.
