poipu breakfast

Three weeks from today we'll be on our way to Lihue!

We're staying in Poipu though and I'm looking for a place to have a nice breakfast - think mac nut pancakes and that sort of thing. I'm not interested in pigging out at a luxe buffet.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Kim

Joes on the green has a good breakfast. There located at the Kiahuna Golf Course. Turn up the road by the poipu shopping center and its about a half mile up the road on the left. Prices are reasonable.

The restauraunt at Poipu Bay Golf Course had great pancakes, and it was a nice relaxing place. The tables were spread out and it wasn't too expensive either. The coffee was great too.

We ate at Joes on the Green twice and it was an excellent choice. Nice setting and good choices.

Isn't there a resturant in Lihue right off the main drag that is know for their pancakes and big breakfasts? We ate their a long time ago and it was great. Otherwise, it sounds like Joes is the place to go!

When staying in poipu, did you check out that cool grocery store on the corner of all those little koloa stores? That place has really good food! We stopped there every time we passed it practically. It seems like once a week or so they make kalua pork in an imu and all and then package it up and sell there. I saw a package and thought i'd stop back later and pick one up. no dice..all pau ..good grinds for sure. Got a smoky baked potato to share with my then one year old, which was yummy and simple. Their salads are ono and best of all they sell PoPo's cookies. The *best * cookie on the island in my opin. yummy!
