"take the trolly to Spencer Fort for a picture of the Golden Gate"
Do you mean Fort Point in SF or the Spencer Battery in the Marin Headlands? Like saps I do not know any trolley that goes to the Marin Headlands.
Couple of suggestions Ghirardelli is basically part of the Wharf, so you can combine those activities. Chinatown is only a few blocks from your hotel so you might do that on Day 1, then grab the cable car to go see Lombard Street.

"Trolly" maybe you mean one of the cable car tours, do they go to Spencer?
By the way, there is more then one Golden Gate in SF, I assume you meant the bridge?
When making balloon reservations, have you confirmed the baby will be allowed on?

And Saps, no, it's not a stupid question. Just imagine: take that warm sleepy baby out in the cold, doesn't matter where, it won't be warm at 6 am up there in the sky!
Oh, well, I've only raised 2 of my own babies, who am I to give advices! It's up to the parents to decide.

Does Cakebread serve lunch? When we were there, they had a special group dining experience, but sounded as if it was a rather special event.
I'd definitely call and see. You'll need to make an appointment/reservation for the tour/tasting anyway.

Good choice keeping baby at the hotel while you balloon. The Girl and the Fig is very good; you'll like it (but for some reason they don't have chardonnay, which is my preference; their wine list (available on line at www.thegirlandthefig.com) is unusual). Enjoy!
