Please help with DC towncar to BWI

My family of 4 needs to get to BWI from the Sofitel. The concierge says a towncar will be $99 and a cab $60. We have too much lugguge to consider any other options. Anyone have a towncar company they can recommend for less? Thanks!

For the distance and current gas prices, that actually sounds very good. I would be surprised if you could find anything less. If you do, let us know!

I can't believe you could get a taxi from DC to BWI. That sounds a fantastic deal. We live 15mins from BWI and a cab is $40.

Consider renting a car/minivan in D.C. & dropping it off @ BWI. You might be surprised . . .

I have done this now several times when I am in So Cal . . . Due to abnormally high fares into PSP, have flown into ONT & SNA & rented a car to get to PSP. The last time I did this, it was $20 . . . FAR cheaper than the $80+ it would have cost to take a shuttle. Not too familiar w/the location of the Sofitel, but I have rented from an Avis in N.W. on Wisconsin Ave. Just took Metro to Woodley Park(?), walked a couple of blocks, & picked up the car. It's adjacent to a Days Inn. You could also rent from DCA, as it is on the blue/yellow lines of Metro.

Good luck!

And all the car rental agencies have offices at Union Station, also, which generally have longer hours than those elsewhere in the city.

Unfortunately, dropping off a rental car at BWI involves an offsite location and a shuttle to the airport that would be just as much hassle with luggage as taking the B30 express bus from the Metro Greenbelt station.
