Please Help! planning honeymoon in Hawaii

We have only 5 days (March 1st-5th, 2006). I don't know which island we should go to, or if we should try to visit more than one. We love the beach and sightseeing nature and want to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. Any help that can be given would be greatly appreciated!

Try a search on Hawaiian honeymoons. You'll get lots to read. Also with only 5 days, I'd suggest picking one island and staying put.

Hi we just returned from Oahu, Maui and Kauai. With only five days I would definitely suggested spending those five days at the Hyatt in Kauai. There is nature in Kauai(Many beautiful waterfalls and the waimea canyon and who could forget the hiking around the Napali coast). The hyatt will pamper you left and right and there are secluded areas where the two you could relax and you would feel as if you died and went to heaven. The way I am rambling on you would think I work for the kauai hyatt hotel. But we don't we just loved it so much and would want others to experience the same thrill we did. Any other questions email me at [email protected].

If that is what you like then the choices IMHO are either Kauai or the BI of Hawaii. I agree with Suzie as well about going to just one island. HAving been to the BI last summer I can say there is enough to do to last at least 7 days so maybe Kauai would be better. You can see alot it 5 days. Another thought from a romance/appropriate for the occasion POV is Lanai. Good luck and congratulations!

Aloha Deannagld,

Definitely Kauai! The north shore is stunningly beautiful, but in March the weather can be hit or miss.

Marshall's suggestion of the Hyatt in Poipu is a good idea that time of year. Be sure to take the waterfall helicopter ride w/ inter-island... you won't be sorry.

Skip visiting other islands... you don't have enough time. BI is wonderful, but everything is so spread out that I think you'd spend less time in the car on Kauai... plus it's just a breathtakingly beautiful island for a honeymoon!

Happy planning and many congrats!

Definitely I would pick only one island, with only 5 days, and since it's your honeymoon who wants to be rushing around? I've always shyed away from Kauai because it is "the rainiest" of the islands (isn't it?). My choice would be somewhere on Maui.

I guess I should explain.... it lasts long enough for you to pack up your things and go back to the room for about 15-20 mins and then all is fine again. But it is the most beautiful of all the islands and it wouldn't stop me.

Hi Definitely go to the Kauai Hyatt. Beautiful property and pools. Maybe you will be fortunate likewe were to get a free upgrade to a l bedroom suite with an oceanview. the room just made the experience more enjoyable.
