Definitely agree. They're good if you're comparing them to other fast food burgers. (I think the fries are awful though, they taste like cardboard to me, and I've always wondered how they manage to ruin FRESH potatoes!)

We decided to add an extra day to our trip so we could really enjoy Carmel/Monteray. I also found out the wedding is closer to San Simeon than Big Sur so that means we can visit Hearst Castle which I'm happy about. Thanks to your suggestions and some from my friends, here's our revised itinerary. Time for us to start booking!
Saturday - arrive and sleep in San Fran, dinner in the mission district, drinks at Top of the Mark
Sunday - do a tour of Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate bridge to Vista Point overlook, Muir Woods, Sausalito
Monday - do a bus tour of Sonoma but sleep in San Fran
Tuesday - visit Lombard Street, North Beach, Market Street, Dinner at The Slanted Door
Wednesday - rent a car and drive down pacific coast 1, have lunch at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay, and do the 17 mile drive and stop for pictures, sleep in Carmel
Thursday - see the aquarium and Steinbeck’s Cannery Row in Monteray, tour Carmel, Point Lobos, go to the beach, relax
Friday – leave Carmel to drive down for rehearsal dinner, stop for pics and lunch along the way, sleep near San Simeon
Saturday - visit Hearst Castle, maybe Sea Chest Restaurant for lunch, visit moonstone beach, wedding
Sunday - drive up and sleep in Big Sur, stop at Deetjen’s for breakfast, Nepenthe for lunch, Pfeffier Beach, McWay Falls, maybe Esalen Institute for Hot Springs)
Monday - drive back to San Fran and fly out at night

I would suggest you do the Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods and Sausalito one day, and move Alcatraz and Fisherman's Wharf to Tuesday. BTW, there's nothing to see on Market Street (other than office buildings, a couple of hotels, etc).

Sounds like a great plan. Don't forget to watch for the Elephant Seal beach about 2 miles north of the turnoff to Hearst Castle. You can just pull off the road and see them easily - and be back on the road as quick as you like.
And riding the streetcar on Market St is an experience, but would agree it's not the highest attraction on the list. You could also add Tiburon to your tour across the Golden Gate - (about 15 minutes from Sausalito) - and you can also get around the island fairly quickly - and maybe see where tennis players Andrew Agassi and Steffi Graff owned this mansion. Friends of mine have a place a few doors down and said - it was either very busy when the celebs were around - or almost deserted.

Sounds like you will have a great time - we have had 2 holidays in California and loved it.
My highlights were Carmel - such a great little place, go to Friar Tucks for a fabulous breakfast.
Also cycling over the Golden Gate bridge to Sausilito and then onto Tiberon and get the ferry back across the bay (approx 18 miles). We got the last ferry of the day and the sunset over the bay was beautiful.
Have a great time!
