Plaza Hotel

When is the Plaza Hotel expected to re-open? Also, what is the website.

I don't think they have a website. When they re-open, it will be condominiums.

The website of the new owners is www.eladproperties.com. There is some info there on the Hotel and its destiny.

They'll have a 150 room hotel. Last I heard was the fall of this year but I doubt it.

Don;t know about the hotel rooms.

There's no definite info I could find but speculation is that a one-bedroom condo (tres luxe naturally) would be in excess of $2 million.

Actually I have heard prices ranging $6M-36M....You have to make an apppointment to make an appointment with a sales counselor.....You are screened thoroughly before you arrive at the sales office....

LOL! If I had that kind of money to spend on an apartment, I'd tell the 'screener' to KMA.

Can you imagine?

I've heard of pre-qualifying before getting into a lottery but not being pre screened!

The two-story Penthouse at the Stanhope is expected to be around $50M, but look what you get: 7,000sf living space and 5,000sf of outdoor space!! Think of all the "help" you would need for that....

LOL! Last I heard, Trump was still shilling the $50 million penthouse on the top floor of his apartment by the UN.

Yes - but his problem is unique. the location of that building - so near the UN - makes for lots of tie-ups due to security issues - as well as an alternate terrorist target. I certainly wouldn;t choose to live there (never mind that the apartments are overpriced for what you get).
