Phoenix/Tucson Airport Shuttles

I'm flying into Phoenix and then heading to Tucson. I'd like to take a shuttle to Tucson and I can see several services listed on line. Does anyone have a general idea of cost? Also, any other suggestions on getting from Phoenix to Tuscon? I have a car available in Tucson so I only need a shuttle ride back and forth to the airport. I could fly into Tucson but direct flights are limited.

Thanks.

I am guessing that it is going to be fairly expensive to take a shuttle, round trip. Would it be worth dealing with a "limited flight" schedule to avoid the shuttle?? What about the cost factors and time to ride back and forth?

Good point. I would still need to get a ride from the Tucson Airport to the car that I can use while I'm there. I'll check out cab fare from Tucson to the car location, I guess. I got a call back from a shuttle company and it's $100 one way from Phoenix to Tucson. I guess I'll do a short term rental using Priceline instead!

Thanks for the response.

Here is the company I use very reliable and certainly half the price you were quoted

traveller69 is correct. Arizona Shuttle is the first company with service from Tucson to / from PHX. Compared to airfares and the hassle of conecting flights, the shuttle is very reasonable and convenient.

I was going to suggest a one-way car rental, especially since it's a pretty easy drive between Phx and Tcn.

Just did a quick search, and for a one way rental, I am seeing $171, picking up and dropping off the same day. Drop off fees kill you.

I think I'm going to have to spend the time to fly into Tucson instead of shuttle from Phoenix. I'm sure there are buses but then you have to get to the bus terminal and all that. Thanks for all the responses.

Arizona Shuttle is the shuttle that everyone I know uses.and they have three drop off/pickup points. Or rent a car at PHX. Never known anyone who took a bus.

Arizona Shuttle is very good and they have picked me up at pur home in Prescott on the way to the airport, so there are more options than just their regular stops.

Thanks for accusing my first post on Fodor's as spam. Like this thread isn't already riddled with it.. Jul 19th 2014, Nov 1, 2011.. I was just trying to provide more information for anybody who is looking for help in this thread, which, btw, still comes up if you search for it.

Apparently the moderators thought your post was an ad. Topping a 4 year old thread to recommend a company normally would be . . .

But if not, welcome to Fodors. (Ads aren't allowed on here and will be deleted. Don't take it personally.)

None taken, I can see why moderators thought as much. Thanks for the welcome.

My son and I rode Sky Harbor Express on Wednesday. Clean and comfortable vans, nice drivers, and a good price. We went up from Tucson to PHX to meet friends for a Spring Training game, then headed back on the shuttle later in the day. Didn't have a flight or anything, but it was really convenient since my husband and I share a car and he needed it that day. They gave me cold water when I boarded and were very accommodating with my child. 5 stars all around. www.skyharborexpress.com
I have taken Arizona Shuttle in the past, but I wouldn't recommend them. I have heard good things about West Express, but they only operate on weekends and I needed the service on a weekday.
