Pet Friendly Lodging

Mu husband, myself & our 75 lb family lab are looking for suggestions for nice pet friendly lodging. We'll be traveling mostly mid to upper Maine & NB. This is always a challenge especially in August. Hoping there is a Fodorite somewhere who has traveled this road!

We are going to Maine in July with our baby- our 8 month old Chesapeake Bay Retreiver. I googled pet friendly lodging, and found the site www.resortsandlodges.com. We ended up booking a great cabin that has plenty of space for us and our pup- and we got a fantastic deal! In searching the site, many of the places did have pet policies, so you should have several options. Read the fine print, though- I found several locations allowed pets in the off season, but not in the peak. Good luck!
