Pet friendly Cape Cod town-P town?

We've decided we'd like to take our new Maltese puppy with us on vacation next summer so we're looking into pet friendly beachside home rentals. While I love the Chatham area, I seem to recall P town had alot of leashed pets roaming the streets. Is Provincetown pet firendly in the sense that pets are allowed in some stores and even some (outdoor) eateries? I was thinking Eastham or Orleans would be a nice choice for the home as it's between P town and Chatham and we can enjoy the best of both ends without traveling too far. Suggestions/thoughts? thanks

Provincetown must be dog friendly. There are more people walking adorable little purebred dogs there than in Paris!

The gays love their dogs, so PTown is very dog friendly. You shouldn't have any problems.

Provincetown is a very dog-friendly community.Many restaurants with outside dining allow your dog at the table.

Many shops along Commercial street provide water bowls for canines.

In Provincetown, dogs are special guests and are there to see and be seen just like their owners.

Yup, we walk the beach when the tide is out from Truro or kayak up to P-town with our dog. We then poke around the shops and galleries and have dinner.
We then take the trolley back with him.
He gets some pretty special treatment.

Here's a couple restuarants that allow pets - they all have outdoor seating;
Bubula's
Enzo's
The Commons
The Patio
Pepe's - upstairs
Devon - a favorite for us and Tony (the dog ((&)) )
Enjoy!

I took my previous dog to Pepe's upstairs. The sunfish riders fasinated him.
