Park City Dining Help
Hi,
We are going to be in Deer Valley/Park City over Christmas. We used to go every year, but have not been in 4 years. Would like to hear your favorite places.
Places we have been and liked: Cafe Terigo, Mariposa, Stew Pot, Chez Betty, Adolph's, Chimayo. Are they still good?
Places that are new to us and sound appealing: Shabu, Purple Sage, Jean Louis, Sushi Maru, Loca Lizard, Reef's, Taste of Saigon, Bangkok on Main, Flyig Sumo.
Any other ideas are welcome!
As always, thanks Fodorites,
Bonnie

We love the Seafood Buffet at Deer Valley Lodge

And the fireside dining at the Empire Canyon Lodge is wonderful too--with raclette, warm stews over the fireplace, and fondue. Also, they have horse-driven carriage rides there.

Reservations are a must for both of these...

Hi Diet,
The restaurants Bonnie mentions are still around. The best that she mentions are Chez Betty, Adolph's, Chimayo, Purple Sage and the Flying Sumo is pretty good sushi.
Other best recommendations: Grappa, The Hapa Grill, Gritritend at Stein's and my favorite reasonably priced place is The Eating Establishment.
A new sushi place has opened in Pinebrook called Ah Sushi that is supposed to be very good, but I haven't tried it yet myself.

thanks fodorites!
we had a great time at Deer Valley/Park City. had not been for a few years. we went to Blind Dog Grill which we really liked, sat on sushi side, where you can also order from regular menu. went to Bangkok on Main -- very good thai food and amazing wine list. went to chimayo as usual and the place was very busy and rather chaotic imo with reservations, but food was good. also went to Adolph's which is still very good and finally the new spot, jean louis which was really GREAT
have fun,
Bonnie
