Yup, hot's the word. And don't think that somehow a "dry" heat feels less so. Once it gets over 100, it just gets hot. Ya know that feeling when you first open your oven? Yeah, sorta like that. Still, can be okay, if you are prepared. Don't plan on too much during the day. Stay poolside, keep hydrated, use sunscreen. Or limit outdoor activities during the day or stay indoors (preferably where it is air conditioned). Evenings will be warm as well. Shorts, sundresses are fine.
Of course, this changes if you are talking about going during the winter!

Actually the evenings here have been very lovely. We have been going to baseball games, and up until a week ago, the temps at night have been somewhat cool and breezy. We went to a party about two weeks ago and many wound up outside after dark.
But, alas, all that has changed and we are really into the "summer in the desert" now, probably for the next two, three months. It is hot.
Just have to plan for it and not run around, get in and out of cars, running errands in the middle of the day. My son plays football now at night and I am very thankful that I don't have to do that. But, life goes on, heat or no heat. You get kind of used to it after a while. Like sub zero temps in the winter.

Missy: Make sure your rental car is either white, or a light color rather than dark. There's no covered parking in much of PS.
We lived there a few years, and while the dry heat does make it more bearable, above 105F it's still pretty brutal.
