Palace Station (Vegas) Value Rooms

Has anyone seen the value rooms at the Palace Station hotel in Las Vegas? The room rate of $19 seems too good to be true. The sales agent told me they're near the loading dock, so I assume there could be a noise problem.

I've never stayed at Palace Station, but their buffet is a good value.

I've never stayed in the rooms, but the Palace Station is one of our long-time favorite casinos. They have great restaurants (try the oyster bar and the buffet - both are really good)and the slots are pretty good most of the time. The property is well-managed and I would presume the rooms are on the better side of decent. My former fiance was quite a snooty guy (raised wealthy) and he used to prefer staying there than to any of the big resorts; I don't know if he stayed in the bargain rooms, though. I doubt the bargain rooms are too different, maybe smaller, or as you mentioned, noisier than the others. I'd take a chance though - you can't beat that rate and it is a reputable hotel - they own half a dozen of the most popular "locals" hotels all over town.

We have stayed in the tower rooms at the Palace Station which are quite nice but I suspect the $19 rooms are the older two-story (?) buildings out back. Some friends of ours stayed there and we took a look. It was your basic Motel 6 room. But for $19, you can't go wrong.

Very clean, quite small.....try to get a quiet room around the pool. Well worth $19 per night when the Motel 6 two miles away is $49.

Haven't read good reports on the garden rooms, but I guess for the price you can't go wrong.

I was concerned because I read some lousy reviews on Trip Advisor. But there were also some good reviews, so it's hard to tell.

I took that offer once.Upon seeing the room...I left.It is in the old "motel" section of the hotel.I noticed alot of families staying in this section. The maid told me they were basically one step from being homeless and stayed there as long as they could. You could smell the food being cooked in their rooms......probably on a hot plate.Anyway......don't take the offer....that section of the palace is a DUMP.Plus it's not a quick walk back to the casino
