Outer Banks Restaurants?
Please recommend good seafood restaurants. We are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn over Labor Day weekend and do not want chicken, pork or beef until we return home.
I've made reservations at the Blue Point for Saturday, is this still favorable?

The Blue Point is an excellent restaurant. I also like Ocean Boulevard in Kitty Hawk, similar style to the Blue Point.
The Lone Cedar is also very good, traditional menu (broiled or fried), hushpuppies, large servings. Also similar to it is the restaurant attached to the motel you asked about on another thread, Owen's. Both of these places are old family businesses and very popular places with locals and visitors. Lines start in the late afternoon on summer weekend nights.

Dress code at Blue is casual -- you can wear nice shorts, etc. It is on the sound in Duck so it does have a water view. Last May when we were there they were closed for renovations - I believe they were enlarging it, so I'm not sure what may have changed We usually asked for porch seating (which was on the deck but enclosed). You get a great sunset from there. Ask about it when you reserve.
The Penquin Isle Soundside in Nags Head is also on the water (sound). I know there was an outdoor deck - not sure if it was just cocktails or also dining. I believe there is also a lounge with glass windows.
Hope this helps.

There is a good seafood buffet called Carolina Seafood. We go there every year. Good crabs, garlic crabs, small lobster tail, steamed clams, oysters rockefeller. You get the point. I personally like their ribs in barbeque sauce.

Thanks everyone!
We are back and the only restaurant we went to was Owen's for a dinner and it was very, very good! We went to Nag's Head Pier for lunch one day. Just clam chowder and it was wonderful. And one day we stopped in at Awful Arthur's for oysters on the half shell and beer. It was just great!!!
The rest of the time we shopped at Austin's Seafood market and O'Neils Seafood (where we got seafood off the boat)and cooked in our efficieny and it was the best ever!!!! Seafood and salads the whole time we were there!!
