Oshkosh Air Show
My partner has always wanted to see this show. We are Canadian and had planned on driving down this summer, but all the hotel rooms seem to be gone, gone, gone. Can anyone give me some advice on where it might still be possible to reserve a room, and which part of the show is the must see. We only want to take in a day, two at the most.
Thank you!

Sorry, I can't help you with the accommodations for the EAA Airventure. I always used to fly in for it.
However, with respect to the attractions, you should check their calendar as soon as events are posted. You probably would want to go sometime during the opening day or two, if it fits in with your schedule. Because it does draw celebrities and well-known individuals (i.e., this year, the crew of the Apollo 13 space flight will be participating in some of the events), you might wish to narrow it down as quickly as possible.

Apologize for this extra post but the little (dim) light bulb is flashing over my head...
What else were you planning on doing during that trip?
Here's a thought: Either Madison or Milwaukee are just a tad more than 85 miles from Oshkosh, easily drivable. You could stay at either, but if you made your "home base" Milwaukee, you can take Amtrak into Chicago, too. Many trains daily.
