Orlando for Halloween - but no WDW

Has anyone found something fun in Orlando on Halloween night, without Disney World? We don't have tickets for WDW Scary Halloween night, so I am looking for a fun activity with 3 kids younger than 8 for Hallowween night.

Is Downtown Disney a good spot on Halloween night? Can kids trick-or-treat there? Any other places you'd recommend for young kids to trick-or-treat on Halloween night in Orlando?
thanks

Sea World has something. We went last year and it was really nice. It was a good time and they had Trick or Treating. The shows were pretty cool.

All the malls seem to have something. I would see if the Mall of Millenia is doing anything. Or maybe even Downtown Disney.

Just stay away from Universal and their city walk that night. The crowd is beyond description.

I've heard that your not missing out on anything at Disney's Halloween night. I've heard they let in too too many people and have too few rides open. I've also heard that about Disney's very merry christmas party.

If your kids were teenagers, I'd recommend Halloween Horror Nights at Universal, which is now so large it takes over both parks. But it's way too scary for kids. (even this big kid!)

Found Downtown Disney Halloween events that look interesting at http://allearsnet.com/btp/hallow.htm

Also, SeaWorld looks like it would be good for young chidren on Halloween. They have trick-or-treating and special events throughout the day.

I think we might do both!
