sorry the link to the B&B didn't work - but it is a nice place to stay. If that doesnt work for you, I usually stay at the Adobe or the Overleaf- they are close together and connected by a walking path. The Adobe has a restaurant with ocean views so that is always nice. Easy walk into Yachats.
You find a lot to see and explore between Lincoln City and Florence- the drive between Florence and Coos Bay is not so scenic as trees on both sides of the road obscure views
Florence has a cute "Old Town" area with restaurants and shops - I like to eat at Travelers Cove when its nice out as they have a deck overlooking the river-
If you like crab- just before you enter the Old Town area, there is place where you can stop and just get a crab cocktail which I do frequently when I am there- there are picnic tables outside or sometimes I get a container of crab and drive to the beach and sit there and watch the waves roll in and dine on fresh crab! Yum
Outside of Florence you can take a dune buggy ride which is really a blast! A driver will take you over the dunes and until you get out there on a dune buggy you have no idea how large the area is. Dont go on the group dune buggy- go with the small one- holds about 5 .
I lived in the area before I ever did this, and now whenever I have company that is where I take them.
Gold Beach- love the jet boat rides , but its more fun in the summer when its hot-
Enjoy

For your inland trip, I suggest Grants Pass jet boat rides: www.hellgate.com or Klamath - lots to do here: www.discoverklamath.com
