Ogonquit and Boothbay Harbor
Can anyone recommend a nice hotel or B&B in Ogonquit and Boothbay Harbor, ME. I'd like something clean and nice, but don't want to have to spend more than $100-125 per night. I'm going to be travelling with my 76 year old mother. She's up to new things, but it can't be too non-traditional.
Also, is the weather too nasty/cold to be in Maine in the latter part of May? That's the only time we can get away.
Thanks.

I stayed at the Pond House in Boothbay, and spent about $80 per night for a comfortable & clean room with shared bath, which I had it by myself. The owner was very nice and friendly. I would recommend this B&B to anyone. Also, see my detailed post in tripadvisor.

I can't remember the price, but Spruce Point Inn in Boothbay Harbor is amazing... I almost got married there. They have lots of room options, so lots of room prices as well, if I remember correctly. They have a pretty good website which, I think, is www.sprucepointinn.com... but google it in case I'm wrong.
I think May is a nice time to go. It's also off-season, so rates are lower. Be forewarned, however, that certain things may not be open until Memorial Day, although I'm pretty sure Ogunquit and Boothbay will be up and running for you.
