oct2004 in SW USA
husband and I are looking for a vacation spot for next month. CA, NV, AZ, NM.
We are looking for hot, beachy, resort, relaxing.
Don't know anything about AZ and NM. We both have been to LA/CA and Vegas.
Thanks.

Well - I guess that is why I wrote "beach-Y" with more emphasis on resort-Y.
I did some quick looking and noticed the Phoenix/Sedona/Flagstaff area gets a lot of traffic.
Can it be a relaxing vacation or is there so much to see that staying by the pool is not an option?

>>Lakes have beaches and there are lakes in AZ and NM!<<
Well, yes, we have lakes in NM, but I haven't been to one yet that had trees... ;-)
Belana, it will still be warm here in October, but it cools off at night. You might want to look at Santa Fe or maybe the Hyatt Tamaya Resort just outside Albuquerque.
