Planning Honeymoon

I'am planning a honeymoon for the last week in October 2004. I can't decide between Taos, New Mexico or Sedona, Arizona. Any advice would be very helpful.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. Congratulations and to the top for more info!

Hmmm...I'm pretty opinionated on this one. Sedona is a very romantic location and has a uniqueness factor which really sets it apart. It offers great resorts, great restaurants, decent shopping...a little bit of everything.
I found Taos boring and rather one dimensional. The scenery is, of course, beautiful, but certainly not unique in the western USA. The town offers much less, though Santa Fe is a reasonably short drive and is a nice town.
But Sedona has much more going for it than Taos.

Definitely Sedona! Got married there in 2002! Very romantic! Small but so much to do. Look at staying at L'auberge de Sedona or for something smaller The Wishing Well B&B. Good Luck!

I haven't been to Sedona but I am going next week. When we went to Santa Fe, we drove to Taos for the day. I agree that there is not much to do there. We did go to the Taos Pueblo which was interesting but the town was very small. We really did like Santa Fe though. They have alot of nice restaurants, museums and gallerys.

Both will be chilly that time of year which means perfect jacuzzi weather! I think Taos attracts an earthier crowd as a general rule. Sedona seems more exotic (the buzz of the harmonic convergence? - smile)
