Ocean Reef Suites-Outer Banks?

Any info on this Comfort Inn appreciated. Is the hotel reasonably clean? Fairly updated? We were quoted a very good price so I'm skeptical. Is the area nice (Kill Devils Hill, i think), restaurants, things to do (besides the obvious). Does any know of other suite hotels, 1 bedroom condos, apts., available. We want to go for about 9 nights in August and have found most condos, etc. only rent by the week.
Thanks for any assistance.

The hotel was clean and nice. I highly recommend getting an oceanfront room. It's worth the extra money it might be. Also, make sure if you want non-smoking, you ask for it ahead of time. We forgot, and got a smoking room. Ugh! They offered to switch us, but it would not have been an oceanfront room. The view was worth the smell.

I forgot to reply to the rest of your post. There are restaurants along the road. I highly recommend visiting the sand dunes. They even have a class you can take to learn how to hang glide off the sand dunes. We did it and it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Also, there's the Wright Memorial area, which you probably already know about. It was nice just to stroll the beach and relax by the water. Also, on the mainland, the Elizabethan Gardens were very nice, and the Lost Colony area was a neat lesson in history. Enjoy your trip!

One thought about restaurants and other nighttime activities. The one thing that was very frustrating was that things seemed to close down after the sun set. If you didn't get to a restaurant early, forget it. We went in May when it was off-season, so that might have affected the closing time for things. But just in case, you may want to check on how late places are open for dining. It didn't seem like there was anything else to do at night.
