Does anyone know some really good restaurants in OC ?? Not the "All you can Eat" ones. Tried those - not too good !!
Thanks for your help.

Captain's Galley across the causeway on the mainland side of OC (ask for directions; it's hidden away). I am not a beach person, but go to OC just for their crab imperial. It is 'to die for.'

Fagers Island on 60th & Bay is excellent and has a great atmosphere - they have casual dining outside on the deck or more upscale dining in the indoor dining room overlooking the bay. It has been there for at least 25 years and is very good! Also, Sunset Grill in West Oc - just over the bridge - also on the water - a new favorite! The Marina Deck on Talbot Street and Bay is also very good for Seafood and then head next Door to M.R. Ducks bar for a drink, too! Bull on the Beach on 94th street is also a great casual restaurant and has great sandwiches!! If you are looking for Crabs - Hoopers (just across the bridge downtown) is my favorite - you can dine on the deck overlooking the bay - not your typical "indoor" crabhouse - great atmosphere! Hope this helps!!

We loved Hoopers, the little *shack* part at the end of the pier IN the bay. Fun!

Also enjoyed The Shark, Bayfront at 46th where you can dine on several deck levels or the actual beach (or indoors). Cool porch type swings on the lower deck for people watching.

BJ's on the water has good food, so does Seacrets. We go to Higgin's for crabs. Dough Roller pizza (locations on the boardwalk and several on the main drag) has GREAT pizza. also, for a good lunchtime sandwich, try Boog's, which is located near the inlet on the boardwalk, next to thrasher's fries.
