Thank you all for the laughs
Gekkos-mine are pale brown/taupe and some very green ones, I have equal affection for all of them.
Mosquitos-NY/NJ/Mass have some mighty large ones too and Deet is my friend.
Snakes and Brown Recluse-I am hearing that some of the "fun" Some people have is telling tall tales to scare Yankees. I will ignore everyone from now on.
(except you of course)
Language-
The Yankee now pretends he does not speak the language and asks me what everybody is saying.
I caught myself saying dawg when a little ole man asked me what kind of dawg is that, so I said, this dawg is a Poodle...I have said Hey all my life, but I never said Howyadoin~
No Bumper Stickers but I did pick out the Tampa Bay Estuary license plate, the colors go well with my little black car.(which is the most important thing, after all)
Tandoori Girl-I grew up in NC so I do have some vague memories of life in the South. Even waaay back then, they knew how to hook up a telephone, we just seem to hit a rough patch with telephone people..Cable went in perfectly, took them 3 hours but we have Cable for the computer, and three tv's..BTW- I now can enjoy BBC America!
Mimi, howYERdoin? LOL
