Digital Binoculars and Camera
I want to know if anyone has used this item, and what brand seems easiest to use with best photos. From what I was told you can zoom in on an object with the binoculars then take a digital picture of that item as seen thru the binoculars. I'm thinking how cool whale watching or any kind of watching would be with this. Opinions please?

Think you may be dissapointed with any digital camera that has less than 3 to 5 megapixels. Go for a camera with a long optical zoom. Know Olympus has several with 10x optical zoom and you'll need a tripod or other device to steady it at those extremes. Personal opinion is that a combination unit as you described will not perform either function very well.

Thanks all, I am looking at a Minolta and a Meade. I like the lotsa zoom items. My video camera has 32x zoom but am looking to upgrade to more. Anyway these two binocular camera combos have 8 and 16MB memory and the Minolta has 8x zoom the Meade does not state zoom and neither state pixels. I have seen pix taken with one of these but do not know what brand the camera was. Thanx for your input and will continue to welcome comments.
