Is there a comprehensive theater calendar for New York City somewhere online? An events calendar w/b nice, too, museum exhibitions and the like, but I'm mostly wondering what's playing in theaters the weekend we'll be there. Thanks very much for any help you can give!

If you go to playbill.com it will have info on all of the major musicals and plays. For discount info go to broadwaybox.com. For info on events, searchable by date and category, go to the website of New York Magazine.

To make life a little simpler, you can also get discount offers on playbill.com when you check on what's playing. The website also lists information opening dates for future shows.
How far in advance are you looking? Your answer will obviously determine how easy or difficult it will be for you to find the most complete information you seek for your dates.

newyork.timeout.com will allow you to see what's going on....in much more than just theatre.

I wish playbill had a listing of actors appearing with the name of the show and dates following.
