NYC LODGING for 4

I am wondering if there is a medium priced hotel that offers two bedroom suites?

Thanks!

That depends on what medium priced is! For NYC, it is a different thing than for many other US cities.

Try www.affinia.com.

Also try the Salisbury on West 57th. I think that they may have 2 bedroom suites.

Agree that "medium price" is a relative term and even prices in the same place fluctuate drastically depending on date (ie supply and demand), so it will be reasonably priced in Jan.- March, but probably not so in Nov/Dec. Right now you should assume a minimum of $100/night per person so for 4 people in a 2 bedroom, $400 would be considered "reasonable."

There are a number of suite hotels that have 2 bedroom suites in addition to the Affinias but may require you phone for prices/details.

The Salisbury
The Buckingham
Best Western Hospitality
the Kimberly
radiocityapartments.com
the Beacon
the Milburne

all have 2 bedroom suites. Some have 2 baths, some only 1. Because 2 bedrooms are rarer, they usually come with a premium and may be more $$$ than 2 smaller suites if you can break up your party.

If you can do without hotel services, you may find some 2 bedroom apartments for short term rental, but vacation rental scams are rampant, so you have to be very careful. Nyhabitat.com and citylightsnewyork.com are 2 agencies that are reputable.

The Affinia hotel are medium priced and do have 2 bedroom suites. I've priced them at the Shelburne Murray Hill (which is an Affinia hotel). The 2 bedroom suites at the time I priced them were more than 2 separate 1 bedroom suites (via a special on the affinia website).

The 1 bedrooms would accommodate a family of 4. SHelburne has configuarions with 2 queen beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in teh living room. The Avalon has a similar sise suite. There's also the doubletree and embassy which are suite hotels.
