NYC - Halloween 2004

We're picking dates for a New York trip this fall and can't seem to find much current info on the Village's Halloween parade.

Was wondering if this event is always held on Halloween, or if since it is on a Sunday this year, the parade might be held on Saturday night.

Is anyone aware of any information that has been distributed for this year's event? Thanks!!!

Way too early for there to be info for the Parade, but it's always the same... runs down 6th Ave. from Spring Street up to 23rd, and usually starts about 7pm on Halloween. Best thing is to get there early for a good viewing spot.

Don't just go watch the parade, be in the parade! Really it is more fun to walk along with the crowd than watch from the sidelines. Warmer too, because you are moving. Some of the costumes are fabulous, and many are just homemade casual costumes. Doesn't matter, just get out there and do it. Anyone can walk in the parade. Won't that be a better story to tell when you get home?
