North Rim-Grand Canyon lodging

We are wishing to find accommodations near the north rim in early October. We haven't been successful in our internet search. Can anyone help?

Many thanks!

www.xanterra.com for reservations on the rim. However the lodge on the NR closes around october 15 till May 15. (depending on the snow).
Jacob Lake is 44 miles away and has a small simple but nice hotel.http://www.jacoblake.com/

You should really stay in the park lodging at the North Rim. Start calling for reservations right away and continue to do so - someone will cancel soon.

If the lodging in the park is unavailable, you might try the Kaibab Lodge, which is about halfway between Jacob Lake and the North Rim.

Kaibab Lodge would be good. We have stayed there (although it was several years ago) and enjoyed it very much. Here is their we site

We were just there two weeks ago, and the advice is above is pretty accurate in temrs of hotels. There is the lodge on the North Rim, 15 to 20 miles away is the Kaibab Lodge, and 40 miles from the rim is Jacob Lake Inn - we stayed at the latter, very basic rooms with no TV or phones and a decent but basic restaurant. I think your next option takes you back to Fredonia which is about 30 miles further from the rim than Jacob Lake
